· Thanks to the support of Creative Pinellas and the Pinellas County Board of County Commissioners, DFAC was able to serve an additional 107 youth this past summer. This support enabled DFAC to further expand it's Summer Art Academy with the addition of the iPad Explorations camp. iPad students learned new ways to create art through the use of technology. They also learned how to create art work using traditional materials and then manipulate it through the use of some of the following apps: Procreate, Garage Band, Percolator, Glaze, Pottery, sketchbook, pixlr, foolproof, pic stitch, I motion, pixlromatic, wiki art, juxtaposer, sculpt, creatures, splitpic, circular, pic collage, drawing pad, art rage, comic life and word foto.
· Mural Madness students learned how to do scale drawings, grid method, enlarging, painting and working cooperatively on a single work of art on a large scale brought to life through group effort and imagination. Thanks to the support of Creative Pinellas and the Pinellas County Board of County Commissioners, DFAC was able to serve an additional 55 teens this past summer. This was possible by the expansion of the DFAC Summer Art Academy to include a New Mural Madness Camp for ages 12 - 16!
