Dancer/Choreographer Helen Hansen French and Poet/Founder of Keep St. Pete Lit Maureen McDole present a day of exploration, writing, discussion and performance on the topic of "Artist-Mothers" and what it means to balance motherhood and creativity. Participants will be led by Maureen McDole in a writing exploration of motherhood and creativity, have an opportunity to share their work, as well as see a sneak peak of Helen Hansen French's latest solo focusing on motherhood and creativity.
As I work out the logistics and scheduling of shooting a dance film in four separate locations, I also found time to get into the studio and create movement. In addition to a solo I am creating for myself I am also crafting movement for dancer Charlotte Johnson and developing gestures for film participants.
Studio time, creating movement and sound score with Elizabeth Baker.
Exploring movement and sound.
